Take Control of Your Photography-Remotely

Enhanced viewer function allows thumbnail display of images saved on a computer. Previously, it was possible to view a captured image only when the camera was connected directly to a computer.
Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 enables remote control of many functions for most Nikon digital SLRs, including the advanced features of the new D3, D700 and D300 models, such as the Viewer, LiveView and Picture Control System. It also supports workflows from Nikon’s exclusive photofinishing software Capture NX (optional) and browser and viewer software ViewNX.
It also supports the Picture Control System of the newer cameras, which allows the adjustment and selection of the various parameters and saves customized Tone Compensation Curve data to tailor the camera’s behavior to the photographer’s vision. This can be very beneficial to the efficiency of a shooter who is using multiple cameras at once.
Supports LiveView Modes
Camera Control Pro 2 supports a variety of LiveView Modes (Hand-held and Tripod), which provide a simulated camera LCD panel on the computer screen, as well as remote control. This allows the adjustment of focus point and shutter release while confirming the image on the computer.
In addition, custom curves (tone compensation data) can be saved to fit the behavior of the digital SLR to the photographer’s vision. This feature is especially helpful in situations where you have several Nikon digital SLRs connected to a computer simultaneously.
Additionally, Enhanced Viewer function enables thumbnail display of images stored on a camera buffer. This function also supports workflows from Nikon’s exclusive photofinishing software Capture NX (optional) and browser and viewer software View NX.
Compatible with WiFi Operation
Camera Control Pro 2 software enables remote management of most Nikon digital SLR settings, including publicity mode, shutter speed and aperture, from a computer connected via USB cable or wired or wireless LAN using an optional Wi-Fi transmitter. Supported features include the LiveView function, Picture Control System and Viewer for preview and selection of images before switching to a computer, along with workflows from Nikon’s exclusive photofinishing and browser software program.
The WT-2 and WT-3* wireless transmitters allow fast transmission of photos – either automatically or by manual selection – direct from your camera to an FTP server or computer, and they also enable importing IPTC photo metadata into the camera’s memory before shooting, so it’s automatically attached to each image as it’s shot. This saves time for both editors and photographers, as it reduces the need to manually enter data.
To use a wifi connection, first select the network setting on the camera and note the icons displayed on the camera’s screen (green box surrounding a network profile name indicates a good network connection). Next, search for your wireless network and select it from the menu. If asked, enter the encryption key or password and click OK.
